Assist in developing and distributing community resource information to clients. Visit and network with community agencies. Provide community agencies with information on Goodwill Industries of Central Texas. Create informational/resource packets for clients. Talk to clients at Goodwill Job Help Centers about community resources, including basic needs assistance and training programs.
Hours are flexible between 8:00 and 5:00 Monday through Friday.
Completion of basic college coursework in Education, Business, Human Services, Public Administration, Social Work or related field required.
Develop and translate community resource information packets and flyers for Spanish speaking clients.
Hours are flexible. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Provide job search assistance to clients who are looking for employment in Goodwill computer labs. Assist clients with online applications, creating resumes and cover letters, setting up e-mail accounts, and troubleshooting.
Hours are flexible between 8:00 and 5:00 Monday through Friday. Knowledge of computers and software required.
Assist with workplace skills trainings to help Goodwill employees develop both personally and professionally. Assist employees with developing resumes. Provide work skills trainings, e.g. interviewing skills, workplace etiquette, communication skills, stress management, etc. Great opportunity to lead psychoeducational groups with diverse client populations.
Hours are flexible. Completion of basic college coursework in Social Work or related human services field required.
Provide clients with job search assistance to help them obtain work. Assist clients with completing applications for employment on paper and online.
Hours are flexible between 8:00 and 5:00 Monday through Friday. A regular schedule will be helpful but not a requirement.
Completion of basic college coursework in Education, Business, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field. Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred but not required.
JOB SUMMARY: Volunteer will provide various office and administrative support at Goodwill Job Help Centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS: HS/GED diploma is required. Basic college coursework is preferred. Experience in exceptional customer service and/or administration and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is a must. Volunteer must be able to display professionalism, dependability, punctuality and handle difficult situations in a fast-paced work environment.
COMMITMENT REQUIREMENT: Five to twelve hours per week (8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday).
REPORTS TO: Trainer
Increase awareness of Goodwill Industries of Central Texas programs. Attend community events where Goodwill is a vendor and talk to community members about Goodwill’s various workforce development programs.
Hours vary including nights and weekends. Excellent communication skills
Provide information about Goodwill Industries of Central Texas and provide referrals to community agencies to walk-in clients. Assist individuals with filling out applications and answer questions about Goodwill’s programs.
Hours are flexible between 8:00 and 5:00 Monday through Friday. Two years of college or more in Education, Business, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field required.
Research, document and report on employers in the community for Goodwill Industries of Central Texas. Compile job leads from business publications and websites, assist with job fairs, call local employers about job openings.
