Fifty Years. Ten Cakes. One Fun Birthday Bash.
The Goodwill Community Center was filled with community supporters on Thursday, June 12 in celebration of Goodwill’s 50 years of service to Central Texas. More than 800 people helped us celebrate this milestone, which featured live music, prizes and a lot of cake.
Central Texans that attended enjoyed an afternoon of free family-friendly activities, including balloon animals, jugglers, and dancing. Commemorating 5 decades of service, our celebration included performances by: McCallum High School Orchestra, Dave Madden, Phil Wiseman, Radiostar, HiFi , and Memphis Train Revue.

The support from the Central Texas community has helped Goodwill Industries serve thousands of individuals with barriers to employment find, obtain and retain competitive employment. The skills and experience gained through Goodwill’s services provides individuals with a career path that promotes independence and self-sufficiency.
