Join the Community for the Goodwill Weigh Good Donation Drive.

The goal of this year’s Central Texas’ donation drive is to collect 725,000 lbs of donated goods. The donated items such as gently used clothing, cars, boats, and computers can help Goodwill place as many as 42 individuals in competitive employment. The community powered four day drive directly serves the Goodwill mission with the funds generated from selling the donated goods in our retail stores. These funds then translate into helping both adults and youth with job training and work assistance including services to help find, obtain and retain jobs in the community. This year we have already seen over 50% increase in demand for our services. Your donations will help us to better serve the community.

Goodwill bases the donations on the idea of recycling and reducing waste in the community. The Weigh Good donation drive is an excellent way to get neighbors, friends and co-workers together to turn spring cleaning into an eco-friendly activity. It is a great free activity to get your community together to help others. Along with getting a tax deductions, there will fun-filled activities throughout the weekend including prizes and entertainment.

Goodwill Industries of Central Texas’ Weigh Good donation drive takes place Thursday April 16 – Sunday April 19. Bring your donations to any Goodwill location throughout Central Texas.
