“American Idol” will be roping in the contestants at the Frank Erwin Center on August 11th and while thousands are sweating in the sizzling Texas sun, Courtney Hesse will be skipping to the front of the line, thanks to Goodwill, FOX 7, KISS FM and KASE FM. Courtney Hesse was chosen as the winner of FOX 7’s Austin Idol and announced live in Good Day Austin on August 9.

On Saturday, August 7, 75 contestants were randomly selected to sing a one minute song a cappella for our five fab judges. There were some extremely talented people in the building that day! Thank you to all the contestants that came to the Goodwill Community Center!
