On Sunday, February 19, 2013 runners supporting Goodwill Industries of Central Texas will be participating in the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon as part of the No Clothes Left Behind campaign.

Community Career Expo: April 16th 1 to 6 pm
Goodwill Industries of Central Texas supports the City of Austin Career Expo at the Palmer Events Center. The event is free and open to the public, requires no registration, and offers Spanish and sign language interpreters and sighted guides. The Expo provides an excellent occasion for job seekers and employers to meet in person and discuss employment opportunities. Good Give Weekend/ Earth Day : April 19-21, 2013
This in-store fundraising campaign held in the spring to support Goodwill's Workforce Development Services. This campaign will center on Earth Day festivities and education (Earth Day is April 22nd) These funds translate into job training and search assistance, case management and youth service programs, such as school-to-work transition and training.

HILL COUNTRY FILM FESTIVAL AND DONATION DRIVE May 2nd - 4th
GICT is a sponsor of the Hill Country Film Festival and is also having a Donation Drive coinciding with the Festival Activities.
GRC/WFS Partnership: 1 Year Anniversary Celebration: May 22nd
Celebrating one year of work and success, an event with activities commemorating this milestone will take place at the GRC.
NORTH STAR: Grand Opening, May 23rd
We're celebrating the Grand Opening of our new North Star store at 7727 Burnet Road with summertime fun! Join us Thursday, May 23rd from 9 am to 12 pm for food, family-friendly activities, and giveaways. The first 200 customers through the door will also receive a free gift!
PFLUGERVILLE: Grand Opening, May 30th
Kick off the summer season with a luau at the Grand Opening celebration of our new Pflugerville Store at 1821 FM 685. Join us Thursday, May 30th from 9 am to 12 pm for food, family-friendly activities, and giveaways. The first 200 customers through the door will also receive a free gift!

Good Careers Academy (GCA) Opening, June
The newly remodeled opens to provide educational services. Located at 6th and Chicón.
MARBLE FALLS: Grand Opening, June 6th
Beat the heat with a beach-inspired Grand Opening of our brand new Goodwill store in Marble Falls at 2510 US 281! Join us Thursday, June 6th from 9 am to 12 pm for food, family-friendly activities, and giveaways. The first 200 customers through the door will also receive a free gift!
Community Collaboration Event
Wednesday, June 22nd
1 pm to 6 pm
Goodwill Community Center

Invitation only brainstorming session that will help us develop new ways to ensure equal access to employment for all members of our community. Refreshments provided.
RIVERSIDE: Grand Opening, July - Mid July (Tentative)
In mid-July, 2013 the Goodwill opens a new store in Marble Falls. The funds generated from our retail stores translate into job training, and search assistance, case management and youth service programs.
LOUIS HENNA: Grand Opening, August (Tentative)
In Ausust, Goodwill opens a new store in Austin. The funds generated from our retail stores translate into job training, and search assistance, case management and youth service programs.

CTD Movie Night, September 29
Organized by the Coalition of Texans with Disabilities, Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival promotes and celebrates the disability community and culture through the cinematic arts. This evening, Goodwill will be hosting a screening of an award winning feature and short films.
Working for Youth, September 22-October 4 (tentative)
The Youth Services program serves 725 students annually helping with educational and pre-employment services. WRKN 4 YOUTH is the main fundraising campaign for Goodwill's Youth Services division and is used to help fund the summer youth program. For a six week period, shoppers at all Goodwill retail and bookstores are encouraged to donate.
Working for Youth, September 22-October 4
The Hall of Honor began as a way to celebrate the achievements of people who overcame their barriers to employment, with assistance through Goodwill's employment services. Whether through a physical disability, medical condition, learning challenge, language barrier or lack of work experience, Goodwill's clients face employment barriers others do not. However, through the support of Goodwill's job services and dedicated Program and Case Managers, these honorees excel beyond expectations, exemplifying Goodwill's mission and values. It will take place at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center.
