Remembering “A Good Man”
Lonnie O’Dell passed away on May 22, 2007 at his home in Austin. He is described by family and friends as “a good man.”
O’Dell was a founding member and eventual Chairman of Goodwill Industries of Central Texas Board of Directors, and as such, he was eternally devoted to serving the Goodwill mission.
In addition to being a founding member of Goodwill, O’Dell worked for the Texas Employment Commission for 38 years where he retired in 1982. He was a role model in our community, and dedicated his life to assisting others in vocational opportunities.
While Lonnie moves on to a happier place, his legacy of helping others in need will be a living example for us all.
