Outside of Travis County

Individuals completing Community Service hours assigned by any county outside of Travis County must:

1. Contact the manager of the retail store you wish to work at in order to check on availability

Inside Travis County

Individuals completing Community Service hours for Travis County must:

1. Be 16 years of age or older


2. Attend a one hour orientation prior to serving hours


• Orientation is held two days a week at two Goodwill locations. Please do not call management at either of these locations
  • In North Central Austin - (8965 Research Blvd., 78758) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays
  • In Oak Hill - (7100 W. US Hwy 290, Suite C ) at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays


• Arrive 15 minutes early; If you arrive late you will be directed to the next class


• Bring the following:
  • Photo ID
  • Court issued paperwork


• Receive a signed slip from orientation in order to start working at your assigned store

At the end of orientation:

• You will be credited one hour for the session
• You can report to the store location assigned by Travis County
