The Goodwill Peer Support (GPS) program offers pre and post-release mentoring services to parents currently incarcerated at Travis County Correctional Complex or Travis State Jail.

The mission of the Goodwill Peer Support program is to provide guidance and support through peer mentoring during the transition from inside to outside of jail, empowering participants to make life choices that benefit communities and reduce recidivism.

We’re looking for volunteer mentors who are:

*Criminal backgrounds do not exclude mentors – we are also looking for mentors who have “walked the walk”.

The mentoring relationship may begin while the mentee is still incarcerated or upon their release from jail and is expected to last for one year with four hours of mentoring each month.
