Working through Goodwill’s Commercial Services business division as a Janitorial Supervisor, Geronimo Gonzales is the kind of person that goes above and beyond his call of duty, often taking on weekend assignments. “I’m a good, strong worker,” said Geronimo. “I like my work….I feel I’m still going to grow.” Proving that hearing loss does not prevent an individual from being productive in the workplace, he was recently awarded the Evelyn Villines Award by the National Institute for the Severely Handicapped. This award is presented to an individual with a severe disability who has advanced from work on an AbilityOne project to a successful job in the private or government sector.
